Terms & Conditions
The simple rules for booking sessions, Soccer Schools, camps and events with JCSS, so everyone knows where they stand.
1.About these terms
These terms apply whenever you book a session, Soccer School, camp, event, private session or birthday party with Jack’s Community Soccer School (“JCSS”, “we”, “us”), or buy something from our online store. By booking, you’re agreeing to them, so please give them a read.
2.Booking and payment
- Most sessions are booked and paid for online through our website. Your place is confirmed once payment has gone through and you’ve received a confirmation email.
- The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
- Places are limited and given on a first come, first served basis.
- Some sessions, such as our free and drop-in community sessions, don’t need booking. These terms still apply to anyone taking part.
- Bookings for anyone under 18 must be made by a parent or guardian.
3.Your responsibilities as a parent or guardian
- Give us accurate information when you book, including any medical conditions, allergies or additional needs, and let us know if anything changes.
- Make sure your child arrives on time, dressed for the weather, with suitable footwear, shin pads (where needed) and a drink.
- Collect your child on time at the end of the session. If someone else is collecting them, please let the coach know beforehand.
- Stay contactable on the phone number you gave us while your child is with us.
4.Cancellations and refunds by you
If you can’t make a session you’ve booked, please let us know as early as possible by email or WhatsApp. If you tell us before the session, we’ll offer you a refund or a credit towards another session wherever we can. Refunds for late cancellations or missed sessions are at our discretion.
Because our sessions take place on specific dates, the usual 14-day “cooling off” period for online purchases doesn’t apply to session bookings (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 28). This doesn’t affect any of your other legal rights.
If your child can’t attend because of illness or injury, get in touch and we’ll always do our best to help.
5.If we have to cancel
Occasionally we may need to cancel or change a session, for example because of bad weather, a venue problem or coach illness. If that happens, we’ll let you know as soon as we can by email, phone or WhatsApp, and offer you either a full refund or a place on another session.
Weather: we play in most conditions, but we’ll cancel if the weather makes it unsafe, for example lightning, high winds, ice or a waterlogged pitch.
6.Health, safety and first aid
- Football is a physical sport and minor bumps and knocks can happen. Our coaches plan every session with safety in mind.
- Please don’t send your child if they’re unwell.
- First aid is available at every session.
- In an emergency, we’ll contact you straight away. If we can’t reach you, or it’s urgent, we’ll call the emergency services and act in your child’s best interests, which may include allowing emergency medical treatment.
7.Safeguarding and behaviour
Keeping children safe comes first at JCSS, and everyone who coaches with us goes through the right safeguarding checks. If you ever have a concern, speak to Jack or email jack@jcss.uk.
We expect everyone, players, parents and spectators, to be respectful to coaches, other children and families. We may ask anyone whose behaviour puts others at risk or repeatedly disrupts sessions to leave, and in serious cases we may cancel future bookings. Where that happens, refunds are at our discretion.
8.Photos and videos
We sometimes take photos and videos at sessions and events to share on our website and social media. We’ll only use images of your child with your permission, and you can change your mind at any time. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
9.Lost property
Please label your child’s kit and belongings. We’ll keep hold of anything left behind for a while, but we can’t be responsible for items that are lost or damaged.
10.Online store orders
If you buy products from our online store, such as kit or merchandise:
- We’ll confirm delivery or collection details when you order.
- You can cancel an order for physical goods within 14 days of receiving it, as long as the items are unused and in their original condition. Personalised items (for example printed with a name or number) can’t be returned unless they’re faulty.
- If something arrives faulty or damaged, let us know and we’ll replace it or refund you.
11.Our liability
We hold appropriate insurance for our sessions. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else that can’t be limited by law. Otherwise, we’re not responsible for losses that weren’t reasonably foreseeable, or that were caused by events outside our control.
12.Changes and the law
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website when you book is the one that applies to your booking. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
