About Role:

We are looking to recruit a committed, enthusiastic and creative person to lead the practical
delivery of all sessions across the Pre-Academy age groups, covering (3-7YRS)


Currently our Mini Strikes programme is the youngest programme we offer, aimed towards
boys and girls aged 4/5YRS, taking their first steps into football.

This programme focuses on allowing young children to fall in love with football, develop social, physical and technical
skills and support the young children to excel and develop further in their football journey.


As this session continues to remain popular, we are looking for the right candidate to now
became part of our plans to change the direction of this session to be come the strongest
programme in the local community.


For the right candidate, this role will open up additional coaching hours with an additional
session planned to begin in September. The right candidate will also receive additional paid
opportunities within JCSS development squads as well as throughout holiday provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the engaging, creative and learning focused sessions, whilst understanding our NEW JCSS methodology.
  • Build and manage positive relationships with the children/participants
  • Maintain fantastic skills of communication with staffing and parents
  • Be capable of working within a multi-disciplinary team, with others who support the programmes.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety, safeguarding and well-being during activities.
  • Support logistics, setup and equipment management, pre, during and post sessions. Work with coaches to provide a safe, fun and enjoyable environment for young people.
  • To cover other’s absence’s and unavailability when required
  • Contribute to the planning, delivery and post analysis/reflection of sessions.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience of working with children in this age group or additional
    experiences within a football related environment.
  • Minimum requirement of Level 1 football coaching qualification/Introduction to
    coaching football FA course. (Please note any other relatable
    experiences/qualifications, particularly in other sports, which will be shown
    preference)
  • Someone who remains ambitious to learn and grow as a coach and place themselves
    in a role to lead a football programme.
  • Capable of presenting yourself as a positive role model, which young people can and
    should look towards
  • Enthusiasm, creativity and positivity are a MUST.
  • Must be reliable, organised and committed to the role and have basic communication
    skills.
  • Able to work in a diverse environment, promoting values of EDI (Equality, diversity
    and inclusivity)
  • Must have in-date first-aid and safeguarding qualifications
  • Clean driving license and/or access to transport
  • An in-date and valid DBS
  • Must be above 18 years of age
