Job Role: Lead Goalkeeper Coach
About Role:
an exciting opportunity for a reliable, committed and knowledgeable individual who
aims to specialise in the goalkeeper department and would enjoy being part of an expansion
in our fantastic community team.
This position would be a casual position, offering the opportunity to lead our weekly GKsession, ‘The Keepers Club’. However, for the right candidate, there would be opportunities to
increase hours through 1:1 specialist GK provision as well as the opportunity to deliver GK
specific workshops across Holiday camps and development squads.
All sessions would be based in Skegness for the goalkeeper designated programmes.
With a significant amount of interest, this poses to be an exciting and growing opportunity,
and we are looking for a fantastic candidate to join our team.

Key Responsibilities (What will you be doing)
- Lead the delivery of 1-hour long sessions on a weekly basis.
- Build and manage positive relationships with the children/participants to help them
develop individual targets/goals. - Understanding the JCSS methodology and delivering practices that align with our
values and core beliefs. - Be capable of working within a multi-disciplinary team, working alongside our lead
coaches to integrate goalkeeper’s into training and support their best development. - Maintain high standards of health and safety, safeguarding and well-being during
activities. Support logistics, setup and equipment management, pre, during and post
sessions. - Work with coaches to provide a safe, fun and enjoyable environment for young people.
- To develop the individual skills of children, covering all aspects of the GK role
- To cover other’s absence’s and unavailability when required
- Contribute to the planning, delivery and post analysis/reflection of sessions.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience of playing and/or coaching in relation to the goalkeeper position.
- In date first-aid and safeguarding qualifications. Any coaching qualifications or
goalkeeper specific qualifications will be given preference. - Capable of presenting yourself as a positive role model, which young people can and
should look towards - Friendly and approachable and a particular focus of being able to build strong coach- athlete relationships as well as working effectively with peers.
- A wide range and quality communication skills to work with parents to support the development of young goalkeeper’s in our local area but also help and build a leading goalkeeper programme in our local area.
- Must be reliable, organised and committed to the role and have basic communication skills.
- Able to work in a diverse environment, promoting values of EDI (Equality, diversity and inclusivity)
- Clean driving license and/or access to transport
- An in-date and valid DBS
- Must be above 18 years of age
- Someone who can display all of the JCSS values.
- A confident individual, who can deliver messages effectively and promote the JCSS methodology.
